I'm a massive fan of the Night Huntress series so have been looking forward to reading This Side of the Grave for months. Urban Fantasy (strong romance) Paperback, 384 Pages This Side of the Grave is book five in Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series. I can't very well give the book 5 stars, no matter how badly I want to, just because of the intertwining "spin off" that threw me for such a loop, I've gotta dock 1/2 a star..since there is not 4.5 rating.have to go with 4. Half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her vampire husband Bones have fought for their lives, as well as for their relationship. I recently just finished reading the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. This Side of the Grave (Night Huntress, #5) Every now and then a series comes along that I just can't say no to. The series is not complete yet but I read the current six novels. I was a bit confused by some of the things happening in the 5th book (This Side of Grave) because apparently there is suppose to be a spin off series but it actually ends up intertwining with this one. The Night Huntress series is one such series for me. But just when they've triumphed over This book was no different, and it was delightfully filled with romance, tense situations, butt-kicking and an adrenaline-filled plot that had me completely absorbed!
